Kuwait- Travel ban on thousands Passports stolen
In the same context, the Ministry of Justice has requested the Kuwaitis and expatriates to check the department website if they carry a travel ban issued against them by the Sentences Enforcement Department.
The sources pointed out the ministry offices at the exit ports are authorized to lift the travel ban in case if the person was banned from travel for failing to pay money. The sources denied people are banned from travel for failing to pay small amounts of money unlike before.
The sources pointed out one of the main reasons for the current travel ban is failure to pay the telephones and electronics bills and alimonies, as well as failure to pay loans installments, not to mention the judicial rulings.
Passports stolen: An unidentified person allegedly stole three passports and several official documents belonging to a Syrian and his family after breaking the car window of the Syrian in Farwaniya.
According to police report, the Syrian went to Farwaniya Police Station to report the incident which occurred outside his house where he had parked his car. Criminal investigation officers were dispatched to the scene and they lifted fingerprints to identify the culprit. A case was registered and investigations are ongoing to arrest the suspect.
