Arab Ministerial Council rejects US decision on Jerusalem

Cairo, 22 Rabi'I,1439 AH, 10 December,2017 , SPA -- The Council of the Arab League at the level of foreign ministers has rejected the decision of the United States of America to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and relocate its embassy to it.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's delegation to the emergency meeting here yesterday evening was headed by Minister of Foreign Affairs Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir.
The Council in its resolution issued at the end of the meeting warned that tampering with Jerusalem, attempts to change the legal and historical situation in it by Israel, changing the Arab identity of the City, and attacking its Islamic and Christian sanctities are provocations to the feelings of Muslims and Christians throughout Arab and Islamic worlds and peace-loving peoples around the world.
The Council called upon the United States of America to rescind its decision on Jerusalem and work with the international community to compel Israel to implement the resolutions of the international legitimacy and end its occupation of all Palestinian and Arab territories occupied since June 4, 1967, through a peaceful solution that guarantees the establishment of a Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital as a way to end the conflict.
