Alabama election: Booker and Deval stump for Jones

(MENAFN) Prior to special Senate election of Alabama, Democrat candidate Doug Jones was campaigned for Saturday by Sen. Cory Booker along with ex-Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick.

According to Politico, in Montgomery at Alabama State University Booker urged the crowd "I know you all made, already, a million phone calls, but I'm here to try to get some folk woke."

He continued "some people don't understand: the opposite of justice is not injustice, it is inaction and indifference."

Both Booker and Deval appeared in Alabama three days ahead of Jones' scheduled face off against Republican candidate Roy Moore in the Alabama Senate election.
