Kuwait FM participates in Arab Peace Initiative cmte meeting


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) CAIRO, Dec 9 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah participated Saturday in the Arab Peace Initiative Committee meeting to discuss actions against the change in the US position over Jerusalem.

The committee members discussed issues that would be followed up by the Arab Foreign Ministers who would hold an extraordinary meeting later tonight.

The urgent meeting was held at request of Jordan and Palestine, following US President Donald Trump's recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital and decision to transfer the US embassy to the occupied city.

Kuwait's delegation to the committee meeting included Assistant Foreign Minister for the First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister's office Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah, Kuwait's Ambassador to Egypt Mohammad Al-Thuwaikh, and Assistant Foreign Minister for the Arab World Ambassador Azeez Al-Daihani, and Kuwait's permanent delegate at the Arab League Ahmad Al-Baker.
