Watch out for rain and dust storms in UAE: NCMS

(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) The Capital and other cities enjoyed a brief spell of rain on Friday after temperatures dropped across the country. It also rained in some parts of Dubai and Sharjah in the evening.

The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) has asked residents to be cautious while stepping outdoors.

The sea is rough and fresh winds are blowing from the eastern side, the forecaster said.

"It will be partly cloudy and hazy at times, with a fall in temperature," the weather office said in a statement.

"Fresh to strong winds, especially over the sea, will lead to dust storms and poor visibility. The sea will be rough to very rough in the Arabian Gulf, and moderate to rough by night in the Sea of Oman."
