Turkey to commemorate Azerbaijan's National Leader Heydar Aliyev

Turkey will hold a series of events to commemorate the 14th death anniversary of national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev, chief adviser to the president of Turkey, Yalcın Topcu said.

Topcu noted that Heydar Aliyev was one of the genius figures of the Turkic world.

Commemoration ceremony to be held in Turkey is aimed at showing that the Turkish people remembers and honors the national leader of Azerbaijan, he added.

The national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev passed away in Cleveland Clinic in the US on December 12, 2003 and was buried at the Alley of Honor in Baku on December 15.
