Qatar to meet Kiwis in Asian handball opener
Title-favourites Qatar are will take on New Zealand in their opening match of next month's 18th Asian Men's Handball Championship which will be played in South Korea.
According to the schedule of the event announced by the Asian Handball Federation yesterday, the event will run from January 18-28.
The Asian championship acts as a qualifying tournament for the prestigious 2019 IHF World Men's Handball Championship, which will take place in Germany and Denmark.
In their second match, the Qatari team will take on their China before taking on Saudi Arabia in their last match in the group stage.
