Oman- Waljat College of Applied Sciences to host first English Symposium

(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- WCAS English /GFP department is organizing its first one day symposium on 'Approaches & Challenges of ELT in GFP' on 14 December 2017 in the college premises.

The event would provide a platform to the faculty members of different educational institutes in Muscat to present, share and discuss their views on different approaches and challenges of teaching English with special focus on General Foundation Program.

Dr.S.L.Gupta ,Dean,WCAS said 'This initiative by the English Department will enable a stronger base for English language Education and encourage the faculty to amalgamate the diverse approaches and solutions to improve the Foundation program to meet its requirements.'

'The symposium will highlight the different methodologies and the problems of English Language Teaching in Foundation Course and will generate a knowledge base so that academicians can implement and improve upon the English teaching –learning process.' Said Mr. Roby Varghese, Acting Head of the department of English/GFP.
