Top companies cooperate for women's equality

(MENAFN) Oxford University of Britain has cooperated with nine of the biggest companies in the world to boost women's financial influence by sharing success stories.

On Thursday, the Global Business Coalition for Women's Economic Empowerment (GBC4WEE) initiative was launched, which is the brainchild of Linda Scott (top thinker on women's entrepreneurship.)

Scott, of Oxford University's Said Business School said: "The whole agenda would move more quickly if these players were sharing with each other what they were learning."

According to data, nearly half women on the world are in labor force, in comparison with almost 75% of men, hold less senior roles and earn on average 60-75% of what men earn, however, studies show that more working women lead to more economical growth.
