Home Depot plans a 15b USD share buyback
(MENAFN) On Wednesday, Home Depot Inc. has declared a 15b USD share buyback plan, in addition to an investment in enhancing its stores to reach 120b USD yearly sales target within the coming 3 years.
Home Depot's shares have dropped 1.4% to 180.22 USD on the New York Stock Exchange, as its most recent buyback target indicated a slowdown in the pace of repurchases.
The retailer expects to buy back 12.5b USD within the next 3 years, in comparison with the 8b USD it intends to buy for Jan. 2018.
The CEO has said in a statement: "The retail landscape is changing at unprecedented rates and we plan to invest for the future to address the evolving needs of our customers."
