UAE embassy in Muscat celebrates national day anniversary

MUSCAT, 6th December 2017 (WAM) - The UAE Embassy in Muscat hosted on Wednesday a reception to celebrate the 46th national day anniversary, which was attended by a number of Omani officials, led by the Guest of Honour; Sayyid Haitham bin Tariq al Said, Minister of Heritage & Culture.

Also present were ministers, members of Oman Shura Council, senior armed forces and police officers, diplomats, businessmen, media personalities and Emirati residents in Oman.

In a speech he made during the ceremony, Mohammed Sultan Saif Al Suwaidi, UAE Ambassador to Muscat, hailed the strong fraternal ties between the UAE and Oman. He also extended greetings on the occasion of Oman's 47th national day anniversary.

He said the 2nd of December of each year is an event where citizens and residents of the UAE renew their pride and loyalty to the country, under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Their Highnesses the Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates.
