Six men, women arrested for soliciting for immoral purposes

Six people were arrested in an anti-vice operation in Wan Chai on Hong Kong Island on Tuesday.

Officers from the special duty squad at Wan Chai Police raided Lockhart Road, Jeffe Road and Luard Road at about 11pm and arrested six men and women, aged from 20 to 39, for allegedly soliciting for immoral purposes and overstaying, Oriental Daily reported.

The suspects were from the Philippines, Vietnam, South Africa and South Asian countries.

Police also confiscated a batch of condoms during the operation.

The six people have been detained for further investigation.
