(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) RIYADH, Dec 5 (KUNA) -- The Saudi cabinet on Tuesday expressed hope that the Yemeni people's revolt against the Iran-backed Houthi militias would rid the country of "persecution, death threats, exclusion." The cabinet held its weekly meeting in Riyadh chaired by King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
Referring to developments in Yemen, the ministers commended the statement of the Command of Coalition for Supporting the Legitimacy in Yemen on the recent developments in Sanaa.
The cabinet voiced hope that the uprising of the Yemeni people against "sectarian and terrorist Houthi militias" would rid Yemen from "persecution, death threats, exclusion, bombings, and seizing public and private properties." It reiterated the Kingdom's keenness on Yemen's stability, return to its Arab scene, its territorial integrity, unity, and social fabric, within the regional Arab, and the international, security framework.
In the meantime, the cabinet reaffirmed the Kingdom's firm, steadfast and permanent stand in support of the Palestinian people to realize their legitimate rights and establish their independent state with East Jerusalem as a capital.
The ministers expressed deep concern about the US Administration's intention to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and transfer its embassy to the city. (end) mdm.tma.msa
