Former President Obama to speak at Chicago Climate Summit


(MENAFN) In Chicago at the North American Climate Summit Tuesday, ex-President Obama is set to deliver a speech that is anticipated to include a gratitude for world leaders who tirelessly persisted on fighting climate change.

Former Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel is to introduce former President Obama in the event and is set to address over fifty mayors who are committed to Paris Climate Accord's standards.

A spokeswoman for the former President released a statement that read "President Obama will drop by the North American Climate Summit in Chicago this afternoon, where he will give brief remarks to thank the leaders gathered at the summit for their ongoing work to combat climate change."
