Pakistan- Court indicts Pashtu singer Shahsawar in woman kidnapping case


(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) PESHAWAR: District and Session Court on Tuesday indicted known pashtu singer Shahsawar Khan in sexual assault and kidnapping of a woman case.

District and Session Judge Anwar Ali, while hearing a case filed by a woman hailing from Swabi district, issued notices to all witnesses to appear before the court to record their statements.

The complainant claimed that the singer took her fraudulently and subjected her to sexual abuse. She registered a case at Paharipura police station after which the suspect was arrested and produced at a local court but he got a bail from the Peshawar High Court.

However, he pleaded not guilty and said he would pursue the case. The singer after this case has started preaching religion and his videos went viral on social media. He also regretted his past openly.
