Pakistan- Six civilians martyred in 'IED blast' in Waziristan


(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) MIRAN SHAH: At least six people have been martyred and eight others injured in an improvised explosive device (IED) blast in Mir Ali area of North Waziristan, DawnNews reported on Tuesday evening.

According to media reports the IED was fitted to a motorcycle and its target was a military vehicle carrying three civilian applicants for recruitment in the army. All the three applicants along with three other civilians were killed in the blast.

The injured have been shifted to Bannu District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) for medical treatment. Last week, at least five people, including the head of a peace committee, were killed and two others were injured in an improvised explosive device (IED) blast in South Waziristan Agency.
