Kangana Ranaut refuses to sign petition for Deepika Padukone

The death threats issued to Deepika Padukone had caused outrage among many Bollywood celebrities. While some have gone out their way to support Deepika, some just didn't bother.

One such actress is Kangana Ranaut, who refuses to sign the petition for Deepika started by veteran actress Shabana Azmi.

In a statement, Kangana had said that she supports Deepika but won't sign the petition started by Shabana Azmi.

"Deepika Padukone has all my support but I am a bit wary of Shabana Azmi's investment in left wing vs right wing politics," she said.

She further stated that she doesn't want to be a part of a movement led by someone who character-assassinated her.

Some of the signatories include actresses Jaya Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Vidya Balan, Konkona Sen Sharma and Anushka Sharma.

While the reports state that Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt are not a part of it, but it remains unclear if they have not been invited to sign or they did not sign it by choice.

Richa Chadha was not invited to sign it either.
