Arab ministers reiterate backing to Palestine's ICA membership bid


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) CAIRO, Dec 4 (KUNA) -- Arab communication ministers have reaffirmed support to Palestine's International Communication Association (ICA) full membership bid.

The ministers said, during the conclusion of their 21st ordinary meeting held in Cairo, that the Arab League should continue working with the ICA to put a relevant resolution in place.

They warned that failure to implement this resolution is considered a violation of the Palestinian people's rights, calling on the ICA Arab members to seek hard to set out an executive mechanism in this regard.

They also urged the ICA's communication development office to carry out programs and initiatives for Palestine in line with previous agreements, and to boost financial allocations for Palestine.

Furthermore, the Arab communications ministers called on the ICA to take addition ale effective moves to enable Palestine to build and develop its wireless communication network. (end) msa.rg.mt
