Eight suspected in murder of blogger- PM arrested
(MENAFN)Prime Minister Joseph Muscat said that Maltese police on Monday arrested eight suspects in the murder of blogger Daphne as she died in a car explosion two months ago.
The prime minister also affirmed that all of the suspects are Maltese nationals and they all have a criminal record, without giving any further details.
The police now have 48 hours to question the suspects, take them into custody or release them.
After running a popular blog in which she attacked politicians from across party lines involved in cases of alleged high-level of corruption, Caruana Galizia was killed on Oct. 16.
