UAE denies Houthis rocket attack claims

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ABU DHABI, Dec 3 (KUNA) -- The United Arab Emirates denied claims by the Houthi militias who alleged they fired a rocket at a facility inside the UAE.

The national authority for management of emergencies and crises said in a statement the UAE "has an air defense system capable of dealing with any threat of any kind." The Houthis claimed they fired a rocket at the Baraka nuclear facility, which the authority said it is shielded against all possibilities, as well as equipped with security and safety measures.

The authorities, cited by the WAM news agency, said the UAE airspace was safe and would remain so. (end) bsu.bs
