Arab League, UN officials discuss development in Arab region
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) CAIRO, Dec 3 (KUNA) -- Arab League Secretary General Ahmad Abul Gheit held talks in Cairo Sunday with UN Deputy Secretary General Amina Mohammad on means of pushing forward development in the Arab region.
Abul Gheit and Mohammad discussed how to develop cooperation and coordination between the Arab League and the UN, particularly in economy and development, a league statement said.
They also discussed how to use UN's expertise and capabilities to push forward development in the Arab countries thus improving living conditions of Arab citizens.
The two officials also discussed regional and international challenges like terrorism, influx of refugees and organized crime. (end) mfm.rg.bs
