(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Dec 3 (KUNA) -- Chairperson of Kuwait Association of the Ideal Family Sheikha Fareeha Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah said Sunday the State of Kuwait would develop through genuine minds and hearts, who live in ideal families.
Sheikha Fareeha, also Goodwill Ambassador and Chairperson of Al-Fatah Sport Club, said a united generation would be capable of building the country.
She was speaking at a news conference to announce the launch of the Ideal Mother Award 2018.
She said the award would be given for the ideal mothers who showed true dedication to raise a good generation.
Sheikha Fareeha said the Association has been keen on organizing activities and programs that would benefit the family, minimize crime rate, address negative behavior, educating the sons about the rights of parents and promoting role of women.
Association deputy chairperson Saleh Al-Nahham said the award would be given to the family that showed it was committed to religious, social and moral values.
He said the association sent invitations to Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan and Afghanistan to participate in the award.
Suad Al-Uraifan, Chairperson of the award Cultural Committee, said the award criteria specified abilities of the parents in confronting challenges, being a role model and contributing to social and voluntary actions. (end) wr.bs
