Kuwait Def. Min. meets US counterpart
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Dec 3 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Deputy Premier and Defense Minister Sheikh Mohammad Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah said Sunday US Secretary of Defense James Mattis' visit contribute to cementing military cooperation between Kuwait and Washington.
Sheikh Mohammad and Mattis discussed military cooperation issues as well as a host of issues of mutual interest, according to a statement by the defense ministry.
The meeting was attended by Chief of Staff of Kuwait Army Lt. Gen. Mohammad Al-Khodhr, Defense Undersecretary Sheikh Ahmad Mansour Al-Sabah, Deputy Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Abdullah Nawwah Al-Sabah and US Ambassador to Kuwait Lawrence Sliverman. (end) ays.bs
