
Arab League, UN top officials discuss development in Arab region
CAIRO, 3rd December, 2017 (WAM) -- Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit held talks in Cairo on Sunday with UN Deputy Secretary-General Ms. Amina J. Mohammed on means of pushing forward development in the Arab region.
The two sides discussed means on who to develop cooperation and coordination between the Arab League and the UN, particularly in economy and development, the league was quoted by the KUNA as saying in a statement.
They also discussed how to use UN's expertise and capabilities to push forward development in the Arab countries thus improving living conditions of Arab citizens.
The two officials also discussed regional and international challenges like terrorism, influx of refugees and organised crime.
