Scattered rain likely Monday


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) There is a chance of scattered rain in parts of the country on Monday along with a marine warning for thunderstorms, the Qatar Met department has said in its daily forecast.

The weather office has urged people to avoid sea activities in view of the expected conditions.
The detailed forecast says strong winds and high seas are expected in some offshore areas on Monday due to thundery rain. It will also be hazy and cloudy at times.
The wind speed will be 8-18 knots, going up to 21 knots in some places during thundershowers, while the sea level may rise to 6ft.
Inshore, mild daytime conditions have been forecast along with scattered clouds. There is a weak chance of light rain in some places.
Monday's minimum temperature is expected to be 16C in Abu Samra, 17C in Wakrah and Mesaieed and 20C in Doha.
On Sunday, the minimum temperature dipped to 15C in Mesaieed, Turayna, Batna and Karana. In the capital, too, it dropped below 20C, with the Doha Airport area recording a low of 19C.
