Former PM of Egypt Ahmed Shafiq left UAE heading to Cairo
(MENAFN) The former Egyptian Prime Minister Ahmed Shafiq has left the UAE heading back to Cairo, as announced by official sources.
The family of the former Egyptian Prime Minister is still however in the UAE under the generous care of the country, the sources said in a statement.
The United Arab Emirates had denied earlier during the week reports that said Shafiq was banned from travelling outside the country, in which contradict a previous comment in a video attributed to him by Al Jazeera earlier on that day.
