Jordan shares efforts to achieve equality for the disabled persons
(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Dec. 3 (Petra)- Jordan shares the world its annual observance of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, which falls today, under the theme, "Transformation towards sustainable and resilient society for all." Higher Council of Affairs of Persons with Disabilities (HCD) reiterated in a statement on this occasion the dire need to create the appropriate environment in a bid to offer healthcare and educational services for this segment of the society.
It also highlighted the significant role of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, the first bill of its kind on the Mideast level, to protect the disabled persons' rights, well-being and integration in every aspect of political, social, economic and cultural life.
