Egyptian lawyer promoting rape sent to jail


(MENAFN)An Egyptian judicial source said that the lawyer who said women wearing ripped jeans should be raped has been sentenced to three years in prison.

After previously released on bail, the sentence against Nabih Al-Wahsh was passed in absentia as he did not attend the hearing on Saturday.

Wahsh's commented during a television program that women wearing ripped jeans must be raped and accordingly infuriating outrage and complaints to the state prosecutor.
