(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) CAIRO, Dec 2 (KUNA) -- Egyptian President Abdelfatah Al-Sisi on Saturday affirmed eagerness to reach a comprehensive and fair solution, which guarantees the Palestinians' right to establish an independent state in accordance with UN resolutions.
This came during a telephone conversation between Al-Sisi and his Palestinian counterpart Mahmoud Abbas, said presidential spokesman Ambassador Bassam Radhi in a press statement.
The two sides also reviewed the latest developments of the Palestinian cause and means of reviving the peace process, it added.
For his part, Abbas praised the Egyptian efforts, which contributed to achieving the Palestinian reconciliation between Hamas and Fatah movements, according to the statement.
The reconciliation will enable the Palestinian people to address different challenges facing the cause.
The two presidents agreed on continuing intensive coordination and consultation towards developments of the cause and the resumption of negotiations between the Palestinians and Israelis, the statement concluded. (end) aff.hm
