KUWAIT CITY, Dec 2: An unidentified person recently complained to the Al-Rai daily about what happened to his 6-year old elementary schoolgirl in one of the schools of the Capital governorate. The father said a physical education teacher 'removed' a gold earring from the ear of the girl as a result of which she started bleeding because according to the teacher wearing earrings in school is not allowed. The girl was reduced to tears during the school parade.

The father said he took the girl to the Amiri hospital and got a report on the damage caused to the ear because the teacher allegedly pulled the earring violently. He added, he with his wife went to the school to tackle the issue in a friendly manner but the school manager suggested that the teacher give the girl a present to bring smile to her face and forget the damage caused to the ear.

However, the teacher refused, and blurted out, 'I don't care, do what you want'. He pointed out he filed a complaint with the Ministry of Education and was told to provide the number of his cell phone for future contact. However, nothing has happened.
