Jordan, Saudi Arabia hold joint military drill


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Dec 2 (Petra) –– Troops from various units of the Jordan Armed Force- Arab Army left Marka Military Airport Friday headed to Saudi Arabia to join Saudi armed forces in a join military drill.

The joint Jordanian-Saudi military games, dubbed Sahab2, are aimed at enhancing military cooperation and coordination, exchanging expertise between the participating forces and developing their rapid response to terrorist threats as well as unifying the concepts of command and control, according to a statement issued by the Saudi embassy in Amman.

The military drill is part of a series of joint exercises between the two "brotherly" countries, which reflect the solid ties between them, it added.

The Saudi and Jordanian armed forces regularly hold military exercises to boost joint military action, upgrade their capacity, exchange expertise and elevate their combat readiness.
