400 baby car seats to be given out during UAE National Day celebrations


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Over 400 baby car seats, equal to the expected number of babies to be born in Dubai's government and private hospitals during the National Day celebrations, will be given out by Dubai Health Authority (DHA) in cooperation with Johnson's Baby.

The initiative has been taken on the 46th UAE National Day and is themed 'A Gift for My Baby on National Day.' It will give away baby car seats for each newborn in Dubai hospitals to secure babies' safety onboard.

Ghanim Abdullah Lootah, Director, Marketing and Corporate Communication at DHA said that the importance of this initiative will ensure utmost safety and security levels for community members through enhancing the awareness of the importance of the risks prevention.

He said that the 400 baby car seats, which is the approximate number equal to the expected number of newborns in Dubai government and private hospitals during the National Day celebrations, will be distributed.

"These free baby car seats are being delivered with an awareness guidelines booklet and an additional gift to newborns in hospitals from Thursday, November 30 to Monday, December 4," said Lootah.

Latifa and Dubai Hospitals of DHA are contributors to the initiative as well as the Baraha Hospital of the Ministry of Health and eight private hospitals, namely American Hospital, Al Zahraa, Saudi German, Med Clinic, Dr Suleiman Al Habib Hospital, Canadian, Prime and NMC.

"We had launched media and marketing campaign for the initiative including large outdoor ads and other ads in the Arabic and English newspapers in addition to a promotional ad on social media channels for our media partners at Al Bayan, Khaleej Times and Hills Advertising Company to educate as many number of the public as possible about this campaign," he said.

Yasser Abbas, Commercial Manager, Johnson & Johnson UAE said, "We have worked with DHA for weeks to arrange for this event and committed that this event would go with the National Day and support the government trend in the Year of Giving as part of our CSR towards children's health and safety."

"We have also produced an awareness booklet, which explains to mothers and parents how to install the child seat in the vehicle, and some information about the baby growth in the prime months post birth," he added.
