We caught up with eight fans of the UAE who shared with us their reasons why they want to celebrate this National Day! From the classic to the quirky we couldn't help but agree with why the UAE is one of the most unique countries in the could. Happy National Day!

"I can be in the desert, on an island, skiing or in The Louvre - all in one day... how can you not love the UAE!"
Sara Al Madani, entrepreneur, fashion designer and restaurant owner

"The UAE is certainly one of the most vibrant places in the world. It always amazes me to see how people and cultures from all around the world, thrive in the same environment, all thanks to the wisdom of our great leaders, who created this great nation on strong human values of peace and unity. Of course, in terms of being future ready, we are right at the forefront. The government's focus on its people, their development, education, and overall wellbeing will ensure that the UAE always moves forward, together."
Dr. Fatma Taher, Zayed University

"When you build one of the most tech advanced cities in the middle of the desert, it becomes the perfect blend of rural and urban experiences. You can ride on camels or zoom through in electric powered cars, hike the great mountains of Hatta or be treated to a luxurious spa treatment. I grew up here and would never choose another place to be."
Ahmed Elsayed, Founder of Meet 'N' Train

"It's the only country where you could go for a short vacation and come back to find out your neighbourhood got a new skyscraper while you were gone!"
Yousuf Al Gurg, Emirati entrepreneur, architect and fitness enthusiast

"There are endless options as far as food goes, it's exciting to discover flavours from every corner of the world. It's the only place where I feel perfectly safe to sleep with my door unlocked!"
John Karpathakis, Manager, F45 Training

"I love the UAE because it's one of the very few countries in the world where you can easily take a selfie with the leaders of the country."
Omar Albusaidy, Emirati author, entrepreneur and speaker

"My favourite area of the UAE is Palm Jumeirah Island - I was born by the Black Sea and living close to the water is very important to me. One of the best things about National Day: at my children's school they all dress in Emirati dresses, bring traditional food, play traditional music and dance; and of course watching the National Day fireworks with the family. I feel very happy and proud for the UAE that being a young country, it has achieved so much. It is great to celebrate UAE achievements together!"
Kristina Fidelskaya, fashion designer

"I love the United Arab Emirates because our leaders support and empower successful women. I can experience Paris, New York and Tokyo all in one day without leaving my country as we have so many different cultures here. We are the only country in the world where you will find a Bugatti as a police car!"
Fatima Al Shirawi, founder of The Gracious F

"Since having children what used to be fun is no longer possible! But we live in an area of Dubai which is one of my favourites, JBR. Everything is on your doorstep - the beach, coffee shops and they always have activities like the graffiti exhibitions and splash pads for kids. It's a quirky place that's great for families."
