Peshawar terror attack planned in Afghanistan: DG ISPR


(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) PESHAWAR, 2 December: Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asif Ghafoor has said Friday's terrorist attack on Directorate of Agriculture in Peshawar was planned in Afghanistan and proofs in this regard have been shared with Afghan Director General Military Operations.

The DG ISPR told a private news channel that acceptance of responsibility of the attack by the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban proves that the attack was orchestrated from Afghanistan. He said the attackers were in contact with their handlers in Afghanistan.

Meanwhile, the Directorate of Agriculture in Peshawar has been closed for indefinite period after the terrorist attack. Many students in the hostels have left for their homes. A spokesman for the University of Peshawar said institutions under the university will also remain closed today (Saturday). These institutions include Jinnah College, University College for Boys, University Public School and University Model School.

At least nine people, including six students, were martyred and 28 others injured in the attack on Friday.
