Deputy PM and FM discusses Gulf crisis with Lavrov

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister H E Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergei Lavrov, on the sidelines of the Rome Mediterranean Dialogues conference.
The meeting discussed bilateral ties and means to enhance them in the economic and cultural fields, in addition to the latest Gulf and regional developments.

The Foreign Minister also met with Italian Republic's Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Angelino Alfano on the sidelines of the Rome Mediterranean Dialogues conference. The meeting focused on bilateral ties and the means to enhance them in the economic and cultural fields. They also discussed the latest regional developments, particularly in Syria and Libya.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister also met with Ghassan Salama, Special Representative of the Secretary-General and head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya. The meeting discussed the latest developments on the regional arena, especially in Libya.

During the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister reiterated Qatar's support for the brotherly Libyan people and its support for the National Reconciliation Government and its efforts to reach a lasting political solution through comprehensive dialogue and national reconciliation.
