Palestinian killed by settler's fire S. Nablus

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) RAMALLAH, Nov 30 (KUNA) -- A Palestinian has been killed by a settler's fire in Qusra village, near Nablus, in the West Bank, the Palestinian Health Ministry said Thursday.

Mahmoud Zual, 45, succumbed to his injury after an Israeli settler shot him, the ministry added in a statement.

The "martyr" was working on his land with relatives when a number of settlers attacked them. Zual and his family members tried to drive the settlers away, but one shot him in the chest, according to witnesses.

They noted that the Israeli forces deliberately held the wounded Palestinian at Za'atara checkpoint, south of Nalus, for almost 30 minutes, delaying his arrival at hospital. They are now holding the dead body.

Qusra has been the scene of clashes between young people in the village and the Israeli forces, as one Palestinian was shot in his leg, and many others nearly suffocated. (end) nq.msa
