Iraq oil exports hit record high of 3.9 mln bpd

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) BAGHDAD, Nov 30 (KUNA) -- Iraq's oil exports from the southern Basra seaports hit an all-time record high of 3.9 million barrels per day, Minister of Oil Jabbar Ali Hussein Al-Lu'iebi said Thursday.

In a press release, he appreciated the efforts and dedication of workers at the central and southern oilfields who helped achieve the targets previously set by his Ministry despite the halt of exports from the northern outlet. The Ministry is committed to maintaining a high level of exports in order to increase the revenues of the federal state budget, the minister added.

Iraq sustained losses after repeated acts of sabotage in the northern parts of the country forced halting exports from Kirkuk oilfields, north Iraq, to Ceyhan terminal, south Turkey. (end) ahh.gb
