(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Nov 29 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Fire Service Directorate (KFSD) stressed Wednesday the importance of boosting international cooperation to prevent disasters caused by hazardous substances.
It is also important to enhance the response systems for these substances through exchange of expertise and information with international partners, General Khaled Al-Mekrad, KFSD Director General, said in a statement.
Al-Mekrad made his remarks after meeting a visiting delegation from UN and EU, during which he discussed with them ways of cooperation.
Meanwhile, the visiting delegation valued KFSD's keenness to boost joint relations, praising the Directorate's capabilities and potentials. (end) ays.ma
