NAMA Center, one of Qatar Foundation for Social Work's (QFSW) affiliated Centers, celebrated yesterday the graduation of the seventh batch of students from the Qatar International Beauty Academy (Tajmeel), a Nama institution.
These students have completed all the requirements of the programs they enrolled in, and received professional certifications that qualify them to practice a leading role in the labor market, and leverage the skills and knowledge they acquired to build a prosperous future for themselves and their community.
The event, which was held at the Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) Student Center, marked the graduation of 58 female students enrolled in the Academy's various programs, including 26 Qatari students. The ceremony included several segments where, in addition to highlighting the achievements made during the year, the Academy's partnerships in this sector of business were also announced.
On this occasion, Maryam bint Abdullatif Al Mannai, Acting Executive Manager of NAMA Center, said: 'I would like to express my pride in this wonderful constellation of graduates of the Qatar International Beauty Academy, who have demonstrated their unique talent and strong will to succeed for a stable life and a bright future.
She added: 'Tajmeel, which started as an elusive dream surrounded by many challenges, has proved its great ability to attract talents and perform well and has established its presence and reputation in the community, as its establishment has had a pioneering role in changing the stereotypical view of the cosmetics industry.
The role of the Academy was not limited to professional development, as its most notable achievement was the implementation of a health and safety system for the cosmetics industry.
The Academy also had a distinguished community contribution by supporting the authorities concerned at the Ministry of Labor in monitoring this sensitive sector which deals with physical health, thereby becoming an important player in the process of professional accreditation and capacity building in the areas of health, safety and other professional fields.
It is worth mentioning that the Qatar International Beauty Academy (Tajmeel), which was founded by NAMA Center in 2009, is promoting professionalism in the field of cosmetics as well as its compatibility with international quality standards.
The Academy awards an International Diploma Certificate from CIDESCO as well as long-term and short-term professional courses in specific fields.
