Trump reacts to CNN boycott of Christmas party
(MENAFN) After CNN declared its resolution to boycott this year's White House Christmas party, President Trump reacted by encouraging the decision.
The president posted a tweet that read "great, and we should boycott Fake News CNN. Dealing with them is a total waste of time!" He then re-tweeted Sarah Huckabee Sanders, White House press secretary, who wrote "Christmas comes early."
The decision of skipping the Christmas party due to conflict among the administration and the network was announced Tuesday.
It was stated by the news organization "in light of the President's continued attacks on freedom of the press and CNN, we do not feel it is appropriate to celebrate with him as invited guests, we will send a White House reporting team to the event and report on it if news warrants."
