(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- National Bank of Oman (NBO) organised a ceremony at its new headquarters on Tuesday to welcome Omani racing ace, Ahmad al Harthy, following his immensely successful season.

Harthy who is also NBO's official brand ambassador was welcomed by the bank's staff of all stripes. The Oman racing driver won the 2017 Blancpain Endurance Cup Pro-Am driver's title earlier this year as well as two GT3 race wins in the Michelin Le Mans Cup.

Harthy said, 'I am touched by the support I receive from Oman. It is an honour to be a partner and brand ambassador of the National Bank of Oman. I am thrilled to be celebrating our success with those who have helped make it possible and I look forward to continuing to represent the Sultanate of Oman in the coming months and years, and enjoying even more victories together.'

During the event, NBO leadership reiterated their responsibility to support His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said's ambitious vision and advancement by helping Oman achieve its wider social and economic objectives.

NBO lends its support to other sports in the sultanate through numerous initiatives, sponsorships and events, such as the NBO Golf Classic Grand Final. NBO actively seeks partnerships with individuals and organisations that share the same values promoted by the bank. Road traffic and safety, issues that are close to Harthy's heart are also being brought to the forefront across the sultanate by NBO.
