Nespresso launches third flagship store in Doha Festival City

Nespresso, the world leader in the production of the finest bottled coffee, has launched its recycling programme in conjunction with the opening of its third flagship store in Doha Festival City, Qatar, at a festive ceremony, in the presence of the Swiss Ambassador to Qatar, Etienne Tevez.
Also present at the event were senior officials of High Trading International, headed Fawaz Al Idrissi, Senior Vice-President, Senior Management of Nespresso in the Middle East and Africa, headed by Sergey Makarin.The ceremony also commemorated the launch of the renowned Nespresso recycling programme in Qatar in collaboration with Gulf Contracting Company.
'We are delighted to officially launch the Nespresso recycling programme, in conjunction with the opening of our latest flagship store in Qatar, said Makarin.
'We are aware and committed today more than ever as a global company to preserve the our oceans, especially as the climate changes, and we seek to contribute to reducing the problems that cause global warming by incorporating the capsule recycling project in Nespresso he added.
For his part, Fawaz Idrissi of Hai Trading International, the exclusive distributor of Nespresso in Qatar, said: 'With the opening of the latest Nespresso Stores in Doha City, patrons will have access to the finest coffee. Recycling by placing their capsules at the nearest store or delivering them when they receive their coffee whenever they want. We are excited to collaborate with Nespresso in this responsible and ambitious initiative and we firmly believe that protecting the environment is important to ensure the continuity of future generations.
The recycling programme aims to treat the used coffee capsules. The aluminum used in the capsules is recycled, while the coffee residue is used to produce organic fertiliser. This is in line with the brand's commitment to environmental conservation and sustainable development, which is one of the pillars of Qatar's National Vision 2030.
Iyad Sabarini, Managing Director of High Trading International, said: 'Nespresso's relationship with the community and the local market in Qatar has yielded impressive successes for the company, especially since this shop is the third flagship store for Nespresso in Qatar, which is the first to have a recycling programme.
Campaigns have been launched to raise awareness of the importance of recycling. 'In collaboration with Doha-based Qatari designer Yasmine Mansour, we have today celebrated her creative vision with Nespresso capsules to encourage and support the Benspresso recycling project.
