Jordan- Regent attends military drill


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Nov. 28 (Petra) –– HRH Crown Prince Hussein Tuesday attended a military drill carried out by the Jafar Bin Abi Taleb 39th Mechanized Battalion, one of the Princess Alia 48th Mechanized Brigade units.

The Crown Prince was welcomed in the field by Chairman of the Joint Chief of Staff, Gen. Mahmoud Freihat, the Northern Military Zone's Commander, the brigage's commander and other top officers.

After a briefing by the battalion's commander on its tasks and duties, Prince Hussein watched a live-fire exercise involving all types of combat weapons used in urban areas as well as freeing hostages and descending a hill with support arms, during which the troops displayed high skills in implementing the tasks and precision during the various stages of the drill.

The Crown Prince expressed his admiration with the combat level and precision showed by the participating troops and their ability to adapt to various conditions as well as the coordination among the various units.
