Jordan- Agadir Technical Unit holds talks

(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Nov. 28 (Petra)-Agadir Technical Unit's (ATU) sectoral and working groups, set up within the Agadir Harmonisation Structure and its relevant coordination commission, held deliberations to discuss issues pertinent to low voltage electrical cables and textile.

The meetings, convened in Tunis, came under the framework of the ATU's technical cooperation with the Swedish government to support the quality infrastructure in the Agadir Agreement's member states, Jordan, Tunisia, Egypt, and Morocco, said an ATU statement.

The agreement's technical unit executive chief, Fakhri Hazaimeh, noted the ATU fostered partnership between the public and private sectors in a bid to achieve the desired goals and to remove obstacles obstructing swift flow of trade among the concerned parties.

Hazaimeh added the ATU completed the cables and textiles standardization procedures, regulations and evaluation network.
