By Azad Hasanli – Trend:

About 150,000-200,000 IT specialists are needed for developing the digital economy in Azerbaijan, said Vusal Gasimli, executive director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC).

Speaking at presentation of the UNEC2B labor market platform in Baku, Gasimli noted that at present there are about 1,500 such specialists in Azerbaijan.

'This doesn't mean that we cannot find a way out of the situation,' said Gasimli. 'For example, it is possible to reconsider migration policies and attract the necessary specialists from abroad.'
