4 Killed, 15 injured in shop explosion in Israel


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Occupied Jerusalem: Four people were killed and more than 15 injured in an overnight explosion in the city of Jaffa, according to Israeli media reports.

Israeli media reported that the explosion took place inside a shop in Jaffa, killing four people and injuring more than 15.

There were reports of a car bomb attack on the building, which resulted in the deaths and injuries, in addition to a serious damage to buildings adjacent to the site of the explosion. A number of vehicles also burnt in the incident.

Rescuers evacuated one of the nearby buildings for fear of renewed explosions.

According to the Israeli newspaper (Haaretz), the cause of the explosion was not disclosed and that an investigation has been opened to reveal the causes.
