Cairo, Rabi'I 9, 1439, Nov 27, 2017, SPA -- Under the chairmanship of Dr. Abdulmohsen bin Farouq Iliyas, Head of Arab League (AL) Media Standing Committee, the 90th session of the committee concluded here today, in the presence of the Assistant AL Secretary General for Media and Communications Sector Ambassador Haifa Abu Ghazala.
Saudi delegation to the meetings was led by Supervisor of External Information service of the Ministry of Culture and Information Dr. Khalid Al-Ghamdi.
During the meetings, the committee has discussed various items on its agenda, including combat of terrorism and ways to jointly synergize Arab countries media endeavors to confront proliferation of such a phenomenon.
It also reviewed recommendations of the previous 18th session of experts, related to following up Arab media role in fighting terrorism, in addition to the outcomes of the 5th Discussion Panel workshops, including Arab Electronic Committee working, Arab Media Day and Media relations with sustainable development agenda.
