Kenya: Kenyatta inauguration to witness tightened security
(MENAFN) Prior to President Uhuru Kenyatta's inauguration for a second term in office, security has been tightened in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi where at least twenty leaders of state or senior ministers are to appear.
However, disregarding a police ban, a protest rally has been pushed for by Raila Odinga, opposite leader who boycotted a re-run of the presidential poll.
In august, due to so-called "irregularities," the Supreme Court annulled the presidential election. Later when the re-run occurred on 26 October, 98 percent of the vote went to Mr. Kenyatta with only under 39 percent turnout.
