Over 5,000 classroom chairs handed over to Pakistan International School

The Jassim and Hamad bin Jassim Charitable Foundation has provided over 5,000 classroom chairs to the Pakistan International School (PIS).
The initiative is part of an agreement signed by the Foundation and PIS to supply new classroom furniture at a cost of QR2m, said a release.
The Foundation has already offered over QR7m to build additional classrooms and other facilities at the campus of PIS to accommodate more students and provide international education.
The Foundation had signed a contract with Meerqat Polymers Company to manufacture and supply 3,800 classroom chairs-with-desks of Qdesk brand of different sizes, 1,200 tables with chairs and 120 office chairs. The local company was selected to manufacture and supply the classroom furniture in a bid to boost national economy.
The move came under the initiative 'Health and Education for Better Life launched by the Jassim and Hamad bin Jassim Charitable Foundation to support the education and educational institutions.
Pakistan International School appreciated the Foundation for its support to the school.
