Kuwait- Lowest bidder sues KPC


(MENAFN- Arab Times) KUWAIT CITY, Nov 27: Well-informed oil sources said one of the insurance companies have filed a lawsuit against the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) for failing to approve its bid in spite of the fact that its price was the lowest, reports Al- Qabas daily. The company sources said the KPC approved the second lowest and the lowest bidder resorted to the judiciary saying the tender is renewed annually and the value of the bid was KD 25 million.

Blogger acquitted: The Court of Appeals upheld the decision on acquitting blogger Khalifa Al- Hashash of spreading false news concerning elections. Earlier, the General Department of Public Relations and Media Security at the Ministry of Interior announced that security authorities had arrested citizen Khalifa Al-Hashash upon orders from the Public Prosecution for spreading false information about the internal affairs of the country via his Twitter account.
